This is a family cruiser whose core selling points are practicality and low maintenance costs. If you don’t want to buy a used boat and then spend six months and hundreds of thousands of dollars on maintenance at the shipyard, this Silverton 36, which is “already paved for you,” is a very cost-effective option.
The propulsion system features two tried-and-tested, high-performance Yanmar 315hp diesel engines, all of which have undergone a complete overhaul. The generators were also replaced in 2023 with more reliable Annan 12kW generators, and all batteries have been replaced. This means that at the time of purchase, the most expensive components of the boat were in top condition, eliminating concerns about high mechanical maintenance costs in the short term.
The interior is currently undergoing a complete renovation. The air conditioning system, crucial for comfort during Hong Kong’s hot summers, has been replaced with a brand new system, along with new carpets, sofas, and a refrigerator.
